Greetings from Vegas, Form Fans!
The Form Team is well into the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Other than sore feet (note to self: get thicker carpet for the booth next year), we’ve had an awesome time exploring the endless halls of enormous TVs, cameras, stereos and myriad other toys that encompass a gadget lover’s dream. But no such fantasy would be complete without the latest in personal fabrication.
3D printing has made waves at CES for the past several years, and the Form 1 has been no exception. Throngs of Form-loving professionals have constantly crowded the booth to be dazzled by the laser light show that is 3D printing with stereolithography. We’ve especially enjoyed giving a high five to the Kickstarter backers who dropped by to see their soon-to-arrive prize.
Unsurprisingly, the Form-tastic action has grown well beyond the Form Booth. Our friends at Techcrunch, for example, invited our co-founder, Max, onto their stage for a great interview with John Biggs. Not to miss out on the Form 1, Brian Heater and James Trew of Engadget hosted Max on its center stage. Even USA Today dropped by the booth for an interview with Form Team member Luke Winston.

Is it MARCH yet? I am a machinist who makes action figures in his spare time and winter in Canada is long and cold. I’m looking forward to forgetting about the temperature outside.
CES was great we checked it out too. The only downside to CES is that it’s almost to big no way you can check it all out.

Yes, the waiting is killing me! I’m actually considering buying an inferior product just to get by for now until my Form1 arrives, hopefully in a couple of months. Apparently I’ve got the bug!
If the material can be much ranged, easy to be replaced, and cost-saving, your 3d printer would be better. I know much Chinese factories are looking for this type printer!

Thanks for the post! I’ve just barely discovered 3D printing and how it’s being used today. There is a lot of potential for the 3D printer in so many parts of the marketplace. I’m excited to see where it goes.
Is it possible to selcet print to 2 different printers in wifi mode with Windows 7?I have an inkjet and a laserjet configured as a wireless wifi connection through the router, however, the inkjet will print but the laserjet won’t. The laserjet will intially print a test page after I install the software and drivers, but fails to print after reboot of the PC. My guess is that one printer has to be setup as wireless/wired and the other as wired for it to work properly.
Four score and seven minutes ago, I read a sweet article. Lol thkans
I have hundreds of models to 3D print and test – looking forward to seeing how this performs!
