An in-depth accuracy study established the precision and accuracy performance of Dental Model Resin. Margins, die surfaces, and contact points were found to be accurate within ± 35 microns of the digital model over 80 percent of surface points when printed on 25 micron print settings. Global accuracy across a full arch was found to be within ± 100 microns over 80 percent of the surfaces when printed at 25 or 50 microns.

This difference map shows a 3D scan of the printed surgical guide overlaid with the original 3D model. The color mapping indicates differences with the green areas revealing dimensional accuracy within ± 50 microns. In our accuracy study, we scanned 84 surgical guides printed with Dental SG resin with a desktop scanner. Results showed that printed models were dimensionally accurate within ± 100 microns over 93 percent of the surface area, providing a precise fit for dental surgical applications.

An in-depth accuracy study of 80 Dental LT Clear printed splints showed that intaglio surfaces of Form 2 printed splints were dimensionally accurate within ± 100 microns over 80 percent of the intaglio surfaces, and within ± 125 microns over 90 percent of the surfaces. This was found to provide a precise fit on both models and patients.

The smooth matte finish of standard Grey Resin shows details exceptionally well. It is ideal for a variety of dental applications, including orthodontic, diagnostic, and educational models, as well as for vacuum-forming aligners, retainers, or other appliances. When used with a clear separator, Grey Resin can also be used to make Hawley retainers.
Our resins have been designed to be as safe as possible, but nevertheless, working with them requires care, similar to working with common adhesives or household cleaners. They do not have volatile solvents so special ventilation is not required, though skin contact should be avoided.
