For the last several months, we've been collaborating with Marcelo Coelho and Skylar Tibbits, who along with two of our own, Natan Linder and Yoav Reches, were awarded the Ars Electronica 2013 “[The Next Idea]: Voestalpine Art and Technology Grant,“ for Hyperform, a research initiative to explore the creation of dramatic, large-scale 3D-printed architecures using mathematically-driven designs.
Marcelo and Skylar used their Form 1 to push the boundaries of what is possible in 3D-printing — we're looking forward to more. The team is at the 2013 Ars Electronica Festival now, presenting their work. Check out the video!
