Bundled Supports groups pillars of supports together, making it easier than ever to grip and rip supports from a printed part. Once removed, Bundled Supports leave the surface with a finer finish, for decreased finishing time.

Updated settings for Tough 2000 Resin make it easier to remove supports and achieve fine surface finishes with less finishing — all without affecting print time.

Bundled Supports
With Bundled Supports the support structures are generated in independent groups or pillars, rather than having the support trusses interconnected throughout the entire structure. These pillars can be removed one by one, rather than needing to be dislodged all together. Bundled Supports are particularly useful on parts with large supported surfaces or parts with supports in blind holes or cavities where access for support removal is limited.
Setting Up Bundled Supports in PreForm
To generate Bundled Supports, check the “Bundled Supports” checkbox in the supports tab within PreForm. Supports can then be generated using the “Auto-Generate All” or “Auto-Generate Selected” button.
Removing Bundled Supports
To remove bundled supports, grip a support tower and pull. Repeat this grip-and-rip for each bundle or tower of supports.
