Scaling a model in PreForm

Scale a model uniformly in all directions, either freehand or by a defined value.

Resizing a model freehand

To scale a model freehand:

Select a model in PreForm. Manipulators are overlaid on the model.
Click-and-drag the diagonal arrow icon overlaid on the model.

Tip:

In the menu bar, click View > Show Manipulators > All to display all manipulators. Select or deselect the Scale, Orientation, and Translation manipulators in View > Show Manipulators. To hide all manipulators, click View > Show Manipulators > None.

Resizing a model by a defined value

To scale a model with Size:

Select a model in PreForm. Manipulators are overlaid on the model.
Click Size. A dialog box opens.
To scale the selected model, do one of the following:
- Enter a number into the Scale, X, Y, or Z field.
- Click on an arrow in the Scale, X, Y, Z field.
- Hover the pointer over the Scale, X, Y, or Z field and use the scroll wheel.
