Why are some material settings listed as “Beta?”

Our materials teams are always looking to improve the quality of our products. Beta Print Settings are an opportunity for us to introduce and share exciting improvements, like re-engineered support structures and significant improvements to print speed. Testing these settings in your print jobs helps Formlabs validate materials, improve our products, and move these settings forward.

Tip:

Check the article PreForm downloads and release notes for more info on current Beta settings.

Notice:

These settings have not yet been through the extensive testing of our default print settings, though we attempt to make these as robust as possible to give you a reliable experience. Nevertheless, using these settings may lead to failed prints or unexpected results.

What's being improved?

We are currently working to increase print speed, improve print reliability, and make support removal easier. These improvements aree available in the curent Beta Print Settings and will be updated over the coming months.
