This difference map shows a 3D scan of the printed surgical guide overlaid with the original 3D model. The color mapping indicates differences with the green areas revealing dimensional accuracy within ± 50 microns. In our study, we scanned 84 surgical guides printed with Dental SG resin with an orthodontic scanner and compared with the .STLs of the intended models. Results showed that printed models were dimensionally accurate within ± 100 microns over 93% of the surface area, providing a precise fit for dental surgical applications.
Standard Grey Resin’s smooth matte finish shows details exceptionally well. It is ideal for a variety of dental modeling applications, including for vacuum-forming aligners, retainers, and other appliances with the use of a clear separator.
Our resins have been designed to be as safe as possible, but nevertheless, working with them requires care, similar to working with common adhesives or household cleaners. They do not have volatile solvents so special ventilation is not required, though skin contact should be avoided.
