We Have a Winner

Form 1 Survey Winner

As mentioned, we had an amazing response to our survey over the past few weeks. The information you provided is already helping us improve the Form 1 package and plan for customer support. The survey is now closed, and we are happy to announce the lucky winner of a bottle of resin! We randomly picked Lisa Gemmiti in San Francisco. Not so random is the fact that she is an accomplished model maker who is eagerly awaiting a Form 1 (and an extra bottle of resin). Lisa runs Gemmiti Model Art, where her team makes a wide variety of impressive models ranging from the very technical to the beautifully artistic. Congrats, Lisa!

Cool print - Making Molds with the Form 1

Some of you may know our team member Sivan as our t-shirt model for Kickstarter. She also happens to enjoy designing and 3D printing things for kids. The photos below show how she used the Form 1 to print a grey mold. She then used the mold to cast silicone prototypes. Still early in development, Sivan is working on what she calls a “bravery medal”, which attaches to a tourniquet for children at a hospital or clinic. Upon removing the tourniquet, the child patient will have a pressure mark in the shape of a happy faced lion. Learn more on her website.
