Showing and hiding models in PreForm

Opening several models in PreForm can make the build volume seem cluttered. Use PreForm’s Show / Hide menu to only display models you want to focus on.

Displaying models within the model list

Opening the Job Info dialog box reveals the Model List.

To display models using the Model List:

  1. Open several models in PreForm.
  2. Name each model with a unique identifier.
  3. Click the < button. The Job Info dialog box opens.
  4. To select which models are displayed:
    • Uncheck the box next to a model’s name to hide that model.
    • Check the box next to a model’s name to show that model.

 

Tip:

Uncheck several boxes to hide multiple models within the build volume.

Displaying models by right-clicking

Right-click on a model and select the Show / Hide menu to choose which models should be shown.

To choose which models display:

  1. Open several models in PreForm.
  2. Name each model with a unique identifier.
  3. Right-click on a model. A context menu appears.
  4. Select Show / Hide. A dropdown appears.
  5. To select which models are displayed:
    • Click Show to display the selected model.
    • Click Hide to hide the selected model.
    • Click Hide Others to hide all models, except the one currently selected, from view.
    • Click Show All to display all models within the build volume.

 

Note:

The status of whether a model is currently hidden or on display is also reflected in the Model List within the Job Info dialog box.
