How do I take a timelapse video with my Form 4 or Form 4L?

Taking a video timelapse

Note:

Give the print job a name that only contains ASCII characters. Timelapses for print jobs with non-ASCII characters in their name cannot be downloaded from Dashboard.

  1. Open PreForm.
  2. Click the name of a Printer. The Job Setup window opens.
  3. Scroll to the Choose Printer section. Click to select a Form 4 generation printer.
  4. Scroll down to the Choose Print Settings section and toggle Timelapse recording to ON. The toggle turns blue.
  5. Click Apply. The timelapse recording settings are applied.
  6. Start a print job. The Start a print window notifies you if video timelapse is enabled for this print job.

Viewing a video timelapse

  1. Open Dashboard.
  2. Log into a Dashboard account that has access to the Form 4 or Form 4L generation printer whose timelapse you wish to view.
  3. Click Prints. The Active Prints page appears.
  4. Click Print History. The view switches to show past print jobs.
  5. Select a print from the list for which the timelapse option was enabled. A window with details about the selected print appears.
  6. Select Click here to download, located next to Timelapse Video at the bottom of the window, to download the video timelapse as an MP4 file.
