Form Wash L solvent pump does not turn on

Form Wash L solvent pump does not turn on

The Form Wash L comes with a battery-powered siphon pump for moving solvent into and out of the wash bucket. If the pump does not turn on, it may be difficult to fill or empty the wash bucket given the volume of solvent required.

Symptoms

  • Solvent pump does not turn on when button is pushed

Causes

  • Pump outlet submerged
  • Battery terminal corrosion
  • Dead batteries
  • Damaged solvent pump

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Make sure the pump outlet is not submerged. Position the hose so that the tip will stay above the solvent until the wash bucket is almost full. The hose has a sensor that will turn off the pump when the tip is submerged.
  2. Remove the batteries and check for signs of corrosion at the terminals in the pump. Clean any corrosion you find.
  3. Replace the batteries in the pump.
  4. Replace the solvent pump.
