Manually adding a printer to PreForm
If your printer does not appear in the Device List in PreForm, or if the orange Start a print icon is unavailable, you may need to add your printer to PreForm manually.
To manually add a device to PreForm:
- On your printer’s touchscreen, view the IP address:
- On a Formlabs SLS printer: Tap the gear icon on the Home screen. The Settings screen appears. The printer’s IP address is shown next to Connectivity.
- On a Formlabs SLA printer (Form 3 and later): Tap the gear icon on the Home screen. The Settings screen appears. The printer’s IP address is shown next to Connectivity.
- On a Form 2: Tap the printer icon on the home screen. The Your Printer screen appears. Tap the connected network. The network screen appears.
- Open PreForm.
- Click Edit Job Setup. The Job Setup window opens.
- Click + Add Printer. The IP address field appears.
- Enter the IP address shown on the printer's touchscreen into the IP address field.
- Click Connect. The printer is added to PreForm.
