Using the motor movement menu (SLA)

With the motor movement menu, Formlabs printers allow users to manually move components like the LPU, mixer mount, and build platform mount to perform maintenance.

Caution:

Moving parts present a crushing or tangling hazard. If necessary, tap the Stop button on the touchscreen to stop a motor movement.

  1. To access the motor movement menu, go to the appropriate screen for the model of your printer:
Form 3 Settings > Maintenance > Motor Moves
Form 3L Maintenance > Motor Moves
Form 4 and Form 4L Settings > Tools > Move motors
  2. The printer prompts you to remove any consumables and to close the cover. The motor movement options are not available until consumables are removed and the cover is closed.
  3. Use the icons on the screen to control the Z-axis or X-axis motors.
