4. Cooling and Powder Recovery
SLS 3D printed parts are sensitive to sudden and drastic temperature changes. After printing, the print job needs to cool in the build chamber to alleviate thermal stresses in the printed parts. Once the cooldown is complete, part extraction can begin. Any powder left unsintered can be recycled and used again, reducing waste and material costs.
