Elastic 50A Resin V2 is a soft, translucent elastomer with a 50A Shore durometer that is ideal for prototyping parts normally produced with softer rubbers and silicones.

Parts printed in Elastic 50A Resin will bend, stretch, compress, and hold up to repeated cycles without tearing, and spring back quickly to their original shape.

Why Choose Elastic 50A Resin V2?

Elastic 50A Resin V2 is an elastomeric material with high elongation and high energy return. Parts are highly elastic, yet strong enough not to tear during printing.

Fast Springback

Bend, stretch, and compress parts that resume their normal shape afterwards.

Transparent

Create objects that are clear, providing visibility into the model.

Durable

Able to withstand rugged use for multiple cycles.

Pliable

Produce parts that look and feel like a molded silicone part.

Applications

Elastic 50A Resin V2 is ideal for developing soft, flexible prototypes normally produced with silicone.

Consider Elastic 50A Resin V2 for:

Wearables, such as straps
Compressible buttons
Stretchable enclosures and casings
Compliant features for robotics
Soft tissue anatomy and medical models
Special effects props and models

Material properties may vary based on part geometry, print orientation, print settings, and temperature. Data was obtained from parts printed using Form 3, 100 μm, Elastic 50A Resin V2 settings, Elastic 50A Resin V2 post-processing steps.

Post-Processing

Washing

The foundational step in any SLA post-processing workflow is to remove any excess resin on the surface of the parts through an alcohol or ether wash.

Curing

Post-curing Engineering and Specialty Resins is essential for parts to achieve their full strength and functionality. This step completes the chemical reaction initiated during printing, transforming the part from its green state into a fully finished component.
