Cure chamber door film peeling (Form Cure V2 and Form Cure L V2)
Post-curing parts that are still wet after washing with Resin Washing Solution can damage your equipment. On Form Cure V1 and Form Cure L V1 units, the reflective film on the inner walls will fog and become less effective. On Form Cure V2 and Form Cure L V2 units, the film on the inner face of the door will bubble and peel.
Symptoms
- Film on inner face of Form Cure V2 or Form Cure L V2 door bubbling
- Film on inner face of Form Cure V2 or Form Cure L V2 door peeling
- Form Cure V2 or Form Cure L V2 door has clear sections
Causes
- Parts post-cured with Formlabs Resin Washing solution on their surfaces
Troubleshooting steps
Damage to the curing chamber door inner film does not present a safety issue unless portions of the door window are now clear instead of orange.
The inner film is part of the door assembly and is not available separately. Replacement Form Cure V2 and Form Cure L V2 doors are available for purchase on the Formlabs Store:
