Rigid 10K Resin is a highly glass-filled, extremely stiff SLA material from Formlabs. It closely simulates the mechanical behavior of glass and fiber-filled thermoplastics, printing with a smooth, matte, polished finish while offering high resistance to heat and chemicals.

The name reflects the material's exceptionally high tensile modulus, which is measured at 11,000 MPa (11 GPa), representing its extreme resistance to deformation under load.

It is well suited for precise industrial parts including molds, jigs, dies, and other tooling for injection molding, thermoforming, and blow molding. It is also a strong choice for aerodynamic test models, heat-resistant and fluid-exposed components and fixtures, functional prototypes, and end-use parts that require dimensional accuracy and stability under high temperatures and pressures.

Rigid 10K Resin can be faster and easier to produce compared to milling aluminum and steel, while still delivering the stiffness, thermal resistance, and surface quality needed for industrial-grade tooling applications such as short-run injection mold masters and inserts.

Rigid 10K Resin is compatible with a wide range of Formlabs SLA printers, including the Form 4, Form 4B, Form 4L, Form 4BL, Form 3, Form 3L, Form 3B, Form 3BL, and Form 2.

Post-processing involves two main steps. First, wash the part using isopropyl alcohol or an ether-based solution to remove uncured resin from the surface. Formlabs Form Wash or Form Wash L are both compatible. Second, post-cure the part using a Form Cure or Form Cure L unit. Post-curing is essential for parts to achieve their full strength and intended functional properties by completing the chemical reaction initiated during printing.

Wash time settings are available on the Formlabs support site for Form Wash and Form Wash L. Cure settings are available separately for Form Cure V1, Form Cure V2, Form Cure L V1, and Form Cure L V2.
