Ongoing support for the Form 2

Thank you for continuing to trust us with your 3D printing needs. As the Form 2 turns ten years old, we remain committed to providing support for Form 2 customers through the end of 2025.

Here is our plan for supporting Form 2 printers into the future:

Form 2 build platforms: Form 2 printers use the same build platform as Form 3 generation printers. We will continue to sell Form 3 build platforms until at least January 2028.

Form 2 resin tanks: We will continue to sell Form 2 resin tanks as supplies last. Resin tanks do not have a shelf life.

Form 2 resin cartridges: We have a dedicated user base and we want to enable you to print using Form 2 printers until at least the end of 2025:

  • Some legacy materials, such as Black V4, White V4, and Clear V4, are in the process of sunsetting and will no longer be available after the end of 2025; Grey Resin V4 will no longer be available for purchase at the end of March 2026.
  • Formlabs will continue to provide other resins from our library of materials based on product availability and demand.
  • Most Formlabs resins have a shelf life of 24 months. Refer to the support article Choosing the right resin for more information about a specific resin's lifespan.
  • Note that, for materials compatible with the Form 2, select the Form 3 cartridge option in the Formlabs Store.

Form 2 spare parts: We will continue to supply user-replaceable spare parts as supplies last.

Form 2 support: We are no longer actively developing new software features or hardware accessories for the Form 2. Customers and partners can continue to contact Formlabs for any questions or issues. The Form 2 knowledge base will remain on our support site indefinitely. We do not currently plan to stop supporting Form 2 printers in PreForm.

Form 2 printer availability: We no longer have Form 2 printers available for purchase.
