Print on-the-go with just your computer. You can insert consumables, send a print job, and start the print from anywhere.

A printer is ready to print once you insert the required consumables, including a resin cartridge, a resin tank, and a build platform. The resin tank must be unused, or its resin type must match that in the resin cartridge.

1. Insert a resin cartridge and open the vent cap.
2. Insert a matching or unused resin tank.
3. Insert and lock the mixer. A confirmation message appears. If the mixer is inserted and properly secured, tap Yes.
4. Insert a build platform. A confirmation message appears. If the build platform is locked and free of any previous prints or other cured resin, tap Yes.

5. If either notification disappears before you confirm the status, tap Tank or Build Platform on the main printer screen. The appropriate confirmation screen appears. Tap Yes to confirm that the consumable is ready for a new print.

6. Once you insert matching consumables and confirm their status, the printer’s status changes to Ready.

1. Insert a resin cartridge and open the vent cap.
2. Insert a matching or unused resin tank.
3. Insert a build platform. The Build Platform Inserted notification appears. If the build platform is free of any previous prints or other cured resin, tap Yes, it’s ready.

4. If the notification disappears before you confirm the status of the build platform or you have disabled build platform detection, tap Platform on the main printer screen. The Confirm Build Platform screen appears. Tap Yes, it’s ready to confirm that the build platform is ready for a new print.

5. If you previously disabled Automatic Ready to Print, the Make Ready To Print button appears. Tap Make Ready To Print.
6. Once you insert matching consumables and confirm the status of the build platform, the printer displays the message The Printer is Ready to Print.

Prime a printer without enabling Remote Printing to automatically start a print when your computer is on the same network. As long as a printer is Primed beforehand, you can send a print job to the queue and have it automatically begin printing from several rooms away.

1. Insert consumables as described above.
2. Tap Prime on the Home screen. The printer’s touchscreen and PreForm status both display as Primed.

When remote printing is active, the printer does not communicate with PreForm directly. Instead, both PreForm and the printer pass information to Dashboard and Dashboard shares information between the two.

Ensure you’re all set up and ready to go before sending a print job to the printer:

1. Enable remote printing:
   • Form 4 and Form 4L generation: Tap Settings > Connectivity > Remote printing and monitoring on the printer’s touchscreen.
   • Form 3 and Form 3L generation: Tap Settings > Connectivity > Remote Printing on the printer’s touchscreen.
2. Log in to a Dashboard account. 
3. Register your printer to your Dashboard account:
   • Form 4 and Form 4L generation: Tap Settings > Connectivity > Remote printing and monitoring > Add printer to account on the printer’s touchscreen.
   • Form 3 and Form 3L generation: Tap Settings > Connectivity > Register to Dashboard on the printer’s touchscreen.
4. Insert, secure, and confirm the status of all required consumables: a build platform, a resin cartridge, and a resin tank and mixer. The printer’s status switches to Ready (Form 4 and Form 4L generation) or Ready To Print (Form 3 and Form 3L generation). 
   • For Form 3/Form 3B printers running firmware versions 1.20.33 or earlier and Form 3L/Form 3BL printers running firmware 1.11.14 or earlier: On your printer’s Home screen, tap Prime. The printer’s touchscreen, PreForm status, and Dashboard status all display as Primed.

1. Open PreForm and click Account to log in to your Dashboard account within PreForm.
2. Add or select your primed printer. 
3. Set up your print job in PreForm and click Print Now (available in PreForm 3.29.0 and later). The print job is uploaded to the printer, which starts the print automatically.
4. Check on your print’s progress in Dashboard.

After a print completes, the printer status changes to Idle. The build platform status on the printer screen changes to Remove parts.

Remove the build platform and retrieve your printed parts. To ready your printer again, insert the necessary consumables and confirm that they are ready to print.

You may want to disable automatic readying, for example if you want to leave your consumables in your printer without it automatically starting a print or if you are in a multi-user environment and want more control over printing. To disable automatic readying:

1. Tap the gear icon on the touchscreen. The Settings screen appears.
2. Tap System > Printer Details > Subsystems. The Subsystems screen appears.
3. Toggle Automatic Ready to Print off. A confirmation screen appears.
4. Tap Confirm to disable automatic ready to print.
