Using the Bulk Firmware Updater in Fleet Control

Using the Bulk Firmware Updater in Fleet Control

The Bulk Firmware Updater in Fleet Control lets you manage and update firmware versions across multiple printers on Dashboard.

If the printer is idle and not running a print job, the updates start automatically. If the printer is running a print job, the update starts once the print job is complete.

The Bulk Firmware Updater is available in Dashboard

Only administrators of a printer group have access to the Bulk Firmware Updater. The Bulk Firmware Updater is not visible to printer group members. Change the roles of members in a printer group to allow others to manage printer firmware.

Different printer models (e.g., Form 3, Form 3L, or Fuse 1) have different firmware versions, so you cannot manually select a single firmware version for a mixed set of printers. To update a set of printers to a specific firmware version, filter the printer group by printer type.

When adjusting firmware update settings, you can use all available filters with the exception of the Printer Group filter. For example, you can filter the printer group to all Form 3 printers to narrow your list of printers. Click Apply to save your changes. After clicking Apply, updates start immediately if applicable. Click Cancel to revert all changes.

Note:

Filtering does not revert previous unapplied changes. If you change the firmware versions for your Fuse printers, then filter for Form 3 printers, both Fuse and Form 3 printer firmware changes take effect when you click Apply.
