Formlabs devices are improved with the release of each firmware update. Formlabs introduces new features, adjusts print settings, and fixes issues. To ensure you are always up to date, check what firmware you currently have installed either on the device touchscreen or through PreForm.

View the version number of the firmware currently installed on your printer by tapping Settings > System > Printer Details:

1. Ensure that no print job is currently running on the printer.
2. On the printer’s touchscreen, tap Settings > System > Printer Details.
3. The currently installed version number is displayed in the Firmware Version field.
4. Refer to the support article Firmware release notes to ensure you are running the latest version.
5. If the currently installed firmware version is out of date, update the printer’s firmware:
   • Updating firmware for SLA printers
   • Updating firmware for Formlabs SLS printers

View the version number of the firmware currently installed on your Form Wash L or Form Cure L by tapping Settings > System > Machine Details:

1. Ensure that no wash cycle is running on the Form Wash L or that a cure cycle is running on the Form Cure L.
2. On the machine’s touchscreen, tap Settings > System > Machine Details.
3. The currently installed version number is displayed in the Firmware Version field.
4. Refer to the support article Firmware release notes to ensure you are running the latest version.
5. If the currently installed firmware version is out of date, update the device’s firmware.

View the version number of the firmware currently installed on your Fuse Sift by tapping Settings > System > Sift Details:

1. Ensure that the Fuse Sift is idle.
2. On the machine’s touchscreen, tap Settings > System > Sift Details.
3. The currently installed version number is displayed in the Firmware Version field.
4. Refer to the support article Firmware release notes to ensure you are running the latest version.
5. If the currently installed firmware version is out of date, update the Fuse Sift's firmware.

View the version number of the firmware currently installed on your Fuse Blast by tapping Settings > System > Device Details:

1. Ensure that no blast cycle is running on the Fuse Blast.
2. On the machine’s touchscreen, tap Settings > System > Device Details.
3. The currently installed version number is displayed in the Firmware Version field.
4. Refer to the support article Firmware release notes to ensure you are running the latest version.
5. If the currently installed firmware version is out of date, update the Fuse Blast's firmware.

View the version number of the firmware currently installed on the machine by adding your printer to PreForm:

1. Open PreForm.
2. Add the printer to PreForm.
3. Click Edit Job Setup. The Job Setup window opens.
4. Click the name of the printer you wish to check.
5. Click Firmware Update. The Firmware Update window opens to display your printer’s current firmware version and prompts you to update if there is a new version available.
