Changing the model view in PreForm

When you open a model in PreForm, you can view it from different angles to assist with orientation, supports, and layout.

Switching the view

To view the build platform from a particular side:

  1. In the upper-right corner of PreForm, click a face, edge, or corner of the viewer cube to view the build platform from that perspective. The six faces are labeled for your reference.
  2. Click the Home icon next to the viewer cube to return to the default view.

Tip:

  • Check View > Viewer Cube frames build volume to keep the entire build volume visible when you switch the view using the viewer cube.
  • Uncheck View > Viewer Cube frames build volume to zoom in on your models when you switch the view using the viewer cube.

Rotating the view

To freely rotate the view:

  • Right-click the build volume, hold, and drag the pointer. The viewer cube rotates to match your current perspective.

Zooming in and out

To zoom in and out:

  • Scroll up using a mouse or touchpad to zoom in.
  • Scroll down using a mouse or touchpad to zoom out.

Panning

To move the entire build volume around on the screen:

  1. Press and hold the SHIFT key.
  2. Right-click, hold, and drag the pointer.
