The Fuse Sift needs regular maintenance in order to remain in good working order. Extracting parts from the cake releases plumes of powder, which the Fuse Sift contains before it becomes dispersed into the air. In order to preserve the accuracy and reliability of the Fuse Sift, it is important to regularly check and clean several components and assemblies.

Before extracting parts from the cake:

• Ensure there is enough free space in the used powder hopper
• Check that the fresh powder hopper is full
• Wait for the build chamber to cool before inserting
• Turn on the vent and light
• Raise the cake within the build chamber
• Turn on the Sift function

When part recovery has completed:

• Insert the powder cartridge
• Dispense powder from the hoppers into the cartridge
• Mix the powder within the cartridge
• Fill the Fuse 1’s hopper with powder from the cartridge
• Vacuum the Fuse Sift’s workspace to remove excess powder
