Saving projects

Starting with PreForm 3.62.0, PreForm supports projects—you can set up builds across different printers and materials, switch between them from the new project panel, and move parts freely as your project plan evolves.

Saving all builds in a project

Projects with multiple builds save as a single FORM file. Use the File menu or keyboard shortcuts to save and load project FORM files normally without needing to save each build separately.

Saving a single build from a project

  1. Right-click the build to be saved in the Project panel. A context menu appears.
  2. Click Export. A window opens.
  3. Choose where to save the file.
  4. Name the file. The default name is the same as that of the parent project.
  5. Click Save. Your orientation and supports are saved as a FORM file, which you can open and make changes to later.
