During an SLS print, the printer’s laser sinters loose powder to form each part. If the printer appears to work properly but nothing prints, the laser may need to be replaced.

• Print completes but parts are not sintered
• Printer does not display an error message

• Malfunctioning laser

The Fuse 1 laser is not available as a replacement part. If you encounter this issue on a Fuse 1 printer, contact Formlabs Support or a certified service provider for further assistance.

Run the optics check print using the appropriate file for your current material.

• If the optics check print completes but nothing is actually printed, replace the printer’s laser. Replacement Fuse 1+ 30W lasers are available for purchase on the Formlabs Store. Follow the installation guide to replace the component.
• If the optics check print completes as expected and powder is sintered, contact Formlabs Support or a certified service provider for further assistance.
