Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
The Fuse 1+ 30W is the first benchtop fast industrial-grade SLS 3D printer that offers a compact footprint and contained environment, with a streamlined workflow that supports automation at a fraction of the cost of traditional industrial SLS systems.
Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)
For the same price range, the Lisa Pro offers half the build volume of the Fuse 1+ 30W, a more complex, lengthy, and manual workflow, and 15x times slower time to part.
8.2 Liters
16.5 x 16.5 x 30 cm
6.5 x 6.5 x 11.8 in
The large build volume of traditional SLS printers in a compact form. Depending on the material, about 2x larger builds than the Lisa Pro.
4 Liters (Nylon)
11 x 16 x 23 cm
4.3 x 6.3 x 9 in
4.3 Liters (TPU, TPE)
11 x 16 x 24.5 cm
4.3 x 6.3 x 9.6 in
Limited build volume, especially for the most popular nylon materials
Eight Validated Materials
The Fuse 1+ 30W currently enables eight high-performance materials with fine-tuned settings that are undergoing constant testing and improving through software updates to ensure peak performance. Formlabs not only meticulously tunes settings, but also updates the printing process to enable new materials.
Available now: nylon 12 (standard, tough, glass-filled, white), nylon 11 (standard, carbon fiber-filled), TPU, and polypropylene. More materials in development. It's also possible to print with any 1064 nm powder with Open Material Mode.
Three Included Materials, Up to Eight for Additional Cost
The Lisa Pro enables printing with Nylon 12, Nylon 11, TPU with a basic license. To gain access to Nylon 11 CF, Nylon 11 ESD, PP, TPE, users must acquire a Sinterit Advanced Studio license for a fee.
Plug and Print
From print setup to part cleaning, the Fuse Series ecosystem's easy-to-use hardware and software are designed to maximize your efficiency at every step of the process. Easy workflow empowers anyone at your company to use the system independently after a quick online or in-person training.
Training Required
Complex and messy. From a lengthy print setup to a long list of manual tasks, the workflow is more complex and less intuitive. The steeper learning curve means that it’s recommended to have a skilled technician to operate and maintain the printer.
Same-Day Parts
The Fuse 1+ 30W is designed for nonstop throughput and can produce parts 15 times faster than the Sinterit Lisa Pro. It comes with a high-power laser, removable build chamber, and industry-leading cooldown times, allowing you to start new prints within 1-2 hours after the previous print has finished and minimize downtime. Enable same-day delivery for small prints or deliver a full build within 24 hours.
Extremely Slow
The Lisa Pro uses a less powerful laser and a gantry system for scanning, resulting in around 15x slower print speed. It also doesn't have a removable build chamber, so each build needs to fully cool down inside the printer before carrying out maintenance and starting the next print. This means that you can only start a new build every second day. Taking into consideration warmup time, print speed, build volume and cooldown time, it takes close to a week to produce the same amount of parts that Fuse 1+ 30W can print within just 8 hours.
Fast and Automated
Go from printed to finished parts in as little as 15 minutes with the streamlined Fuse post-processing ecosystem. Fuse Sift is a safe, efficient powder recovery system that filters, measures, mixes, and stores powder, while Fuse Blast, a fully automated media blaster, delivers 100% hands-free part cleaning and polishing, for professional parts with minimal manual labor.
Lengthy Manual Workflow
Sinterit offers manual solutions for powder handling and part cleaning. The lack of automation in the workflow requires users to manually transfer, measure, pour, brush, and mix powders in open-air environments at several points in the process. Manually cleaning SLS 3D printed parts is the most time-consuming and physically demanding part of the SLS workflow and can take from 1 to 6 hours, while delivering results that vary in consistency. Lisa Pro users can purchase a Fuse Blast to streamline their post-processing workflow.
Efficient
The Fuse 1+ 30W is designed for minimal upkeep. The system offers proactive maintenance alerts and a full-color touchscreen interface guides you through every step of printing and maintenance. The hopper-based powder delivery system enables completely contained powder loading. The self-regulating dosing system paired with adaptive dosing algorithms minimizes wasted powder in the print process.
Labor-Intensive
The workflow requires the operator to carry out a long list of manual maintenance steps between each print. The dual piston printer architecture requires manual loading of powder for every print job, requiring the user to manually tamp down the powder before each print job. The printer must be overfilled to avoid running out of powder mid-way through printing, drastically increasing the amount of powder waste.
Free and Easy to Use
Formlabs' free print preparation software, PreForm®, makes it easy to set up a print in minutes and offers the industry-leading packing algorithm to maximize efficiency. Try it now. You can also use the online Dashboard to manage printers, materials, and teams. Available for Windows and Mac.
Paid Tier Recommended
Sinterit’s basic print preparation software is included with the printer for Nylon 12 and Flexa Grey, but using additional materials requires Sinterit Studio Advanced software for $3,290 / €2,990. Available only for Windows.

A Material That Does It All
Balancing strength and detail, Nylon 12 Powder is a highly capable material for both functional prototyping and end-use production of complex assemblies and durable parts with high environmental stability.
Ductile, Dimensionally Accurate, and Accessible Parts
Best-in-class refresh rate among Nylon powders, high ductility, and great dimensional accuracy across the build chamber. Choose Nylon 12 Tough Powder to print more durable parts for prototyping and small batch production that have reduced warpage without sacrificing strength.
Versatile, Customizable, Customer-Facing Parts
All of the great qualities of Nylon 12 Powder with the customizability of white parts. Choose Nylon 12 White Powder to create functional prototypes and end-use customer-facing parts that can be easily dyed to match brand aesthetics as well as medical devices and models with high contrast and detail.
Highly Ductile, Impact-Resistant Parts
For highly ductile, robust parts, Nylon 11 Powder is our higher-performance nylon material for functional prototyping and small batch production. Compared to Nylon 12 Powder, our Nylon 11 Powder is more flexible, less brittle, and better at printing thin walls.
Tough Elastomer for Resilient, Skin-Safe Products
Balancing high elongation at break and superior tear strength, TPU 90A Powder enables you to 3D print flexible, skin-safe prototypes and end-use parts that withstand the demands of everyday use – all at a low cost per part thanks to a 20% refresh rate.
Ductile, Lightweight, and Chemically Resistant Parts
Use genuine polypropylene to produce works-like prototypes and durable end-use parts that are chemically resistant, weldable, and watertight. Polypropylene Powder offers high ductility without a nitrogen environment, enabling durable parts that allow for repeated bending and flexing.
Stiff, Stable, Functional Parts
