Choosing the right resin
Formlabs offers a wide variety of SLA resins, covering a broad range of material properties and recommended applications. To help you choose the correct material for your use case, this article summarizes the available materials, their intended uses, and which Formlabs printers and resin tanks each is compatible with.
For other important information about Formlabs resins, see:
Do not mix different resins (e.g., Clear Resin and Black Resin). Print settings for different resins are carefully calculated based on each resin’s material properties, color, and curing settings.
Notice:
Resins designated as biocompatible must maintain separate accessories, including a dedicated resin tank, build platform, and finishing equipment.
Alumina 4N Resin
Alumina 4N Resin is a high-density and high-purity technical ceramic 3D printing material with exceptional performance in extreme environments: thermally resistant, hard, abrasion-resistant, mechanically strong, and chemically inert.
Recommended lifetime/shelf life: 3 months (room temperature)
Refrigeration at -25–4 °C can add up to 12 months of additional shelf life, or 15 months total.
