Replacing the Form Cure L V2 door

The Form Cure L V2 has a door that helps insulate the machine and contain the light from the LED modules. If the door is damaged, the Form Cure L may not reach or maintain its target temperature. If the door cannot fully close, the machine does not allow you to start a post-curing cycle.

Use this guide to remove and replace the Form Cure L V2 door.

Preparing the workspace

Overview: Prepare the Form Cure L V2 and workspace for replacing the door.

Step 1: Prepare the workspace

Clear a workspace around your machine. Ensure that the workspace is well-ventilated and free of dust.

Removing the door

Overview: Remove the original door from the Form Cure L.

Step 1: Open the door

Open the curing chamber door to access the hinge screws.

Step 2: Detach the door from its hinges

Using a 2.5 mm hex driver, loosen and remove the four screws securing the door to its hinges. Set the door and screws aside for disposal.

Installing the replacement door

Overview: Mount and secure the new door.

Step 1: Prepare the new door

Remove the new Form Cure L V2 door from its packaging. Take care not to damage the door window.

Step 2: Mount and secure the door

Hold the door up to the Form Cure L and align the four screw holes in the hinges with the corresponding holes in the door. Thread one mounting screw into each of the four screw holes. Using a 2.5 mm hex driver, tighten the screws until the door sits flush with the hinge. Follow a criss-cross pattern while tightening the screws to prevent uneven stress. Close the door to make sure it sits flush with the chassis.

Overview: After installing the new door, perform final checks.

Step 1: Test the repair

If you previously turned off the machine, power it back on. Check that the machine recognizes when the door is opened or closed. Start a post-cure cycle and check that it runs without interruption.
