Jun. 24, 2021SOMERVILLE, MA - June 24, 2021 – Formlabs, a leading 3D printing company, today announced the appointment of Dan O’Shaughnessy, formerly SharkNinja’s Vice President of Finance, Treasury and Controller as its chief financial officer. Dan brings over a decade of financial executive experience to Formlabs and will oversee the global finance team as the company grows, playing a vital role in Formlabs key initiatives to prepare and execute on its next stage of growth. O'Shaughnessy's hiring follows Formlabs’ recent $150 million Series E funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2*, which doubled Formlabs’ valuation to $2 billion.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join the team at Formlabs, an innovative company I have long admired for  its focus on revolutionizing the 3D printing industry by expanding access to enable anyone to make anything,” said O'Shaughnessy. “Its most recent funding announcement only underscores the company’s commitment to growing in a thoughtful way and I look forward to working with the team to further accelerate growth and drive value for all stakeholders.”

O’Shaughnessy’s background includes over a decade of leadership experience in the financial sector across a number of roles, including M&A diligence manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, as well as a vice president of finance, treasury and investor relations at The Gymboree Corporation. Most recently, at SharkNinja, O'Shaughnessy was responsible for global accounting, treasury, strategic planning, and investor relations, delivering tangible results for the company’s bottom line while also driving shareholder value.
