A "minimum"—point—plural "minima"—refers to the lowest point in any area of a model’s geometry relative to the build platform.

Unsupported minima may break off the part during printing and lead to structural defects, warping, or print failures, all of which can contaminate resin, damage the resin tank, or cause resin spills.

Unsupported minima that reduce printability are highlighted in red.

To see unsupported minima highlighted in red:

1. Click the < button. The Job Info dialog box opens.
2. Enable Show Minima. The toggle turns blue and areas in need of support are highlighted in red.

To resolve minima in PreForm, use the Supports tool in PreForm to do the following:

• Manually add at least one touchpoint to the lowest part of the highlighted area.
• If you are using PreForm 3.32.0 or later, click Support All Minima when editing supports manually to add touchpoints to all detected minima. Supporting all minima does not generally fully support a model, so you may need to add more supports to make your model printable.
• If PreForm shows a warning that the touchpoint size is too small, manually increase the Touchpoint Size.
• If PreForm shows a warning that the model needs more support, manually increase the Density.
