Cleaning after a failed print (Form 1+)

Cleaning after a failed print (Form 1+)

NOTE:

The last supported Form 1+ version of PreForm is version 2.20.0.

Occasionally, a print may fail to complete. Failed prints often leave small, partially cured pieces of resin floating in the tank or hard cured resin stuck to the bottom of the tank. Before a new print is started, the resin tank must be completely cleaned and cleared of debris. For best results, inspect and clean the tank after every print.

1. Inspect the resin tank

TIP:

Using the Form Finish Kit scraper, very gently scrape across the elastic layer with the blade at a low shallow angle.

2. Position scraper underneath cured resin

3. Remove the cured resin

Notice:

If you see or feel any resin cured in your tank, it's essential to remove debris by cleaning the tank or the next print will fail. Use a fine-tooth comb and/or a paint filter with a 190 micron mesh size to thoroughly strain liquid resin.
