Manually adding a printer to PreForm

Manually adding a printer to PreForm

If your printer does not appear in the Device List in PreForm, or if the orange Start a print icon is unavailable, you may need to add your printer to PreForm manually.

To manually add a device to PreForm:

  1. On your printer’s touchscreen, view the IP address:
    • On a Formlabs SLS printer: Tap the gear icon on the Home screen. The Settings screen appears. The printer’s IP address is shown next to Connectivity.
    • On a Formlabs SLA printer (Form 3 and later): Tap the gear icon on the Home screen. The Settings screen appears. The printer’s IP address is shown next to Connectivity.
    • On a Form 2: Tap the printer icon on the home screen. The Your Printer screen appears. Tap the connected network. The network screen appears.
  2. Open PreForm.
  3. Click Edit Job Setup. The Job Setup window opens.
  4. Click + Add Printer. The IP address field appears.
  5. Enter the IP address shown on the printer's touchscreen into the IP address field.
  6. Click Connect. The printer is added to PreForm.
