Specialty Resins: Push the Limits of 3D Printing

Our family of Specialty Resins features advanced materials with unique properties that expand what’s possible with in-house fabrication on our stereolithography 3D printers.

High Temp Resin

High Temp Resin

Detailed, Precise Prototypes With High Temperature Resistance

High Temp Resin offers a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of 238 °C @ 0.45 MPa, the highest among Formlabs resins. Use it to print detailed, precise prototypes with high temperature resistance.

Ideal for:

Hot air, gas, and fluid flow
Heat resistant mounts, housings, and fixtures
Molds and inserts

ESD Resin

ESD Resin

A rugged ESD-safe material to improve your electronics manufacturing workflows.

Reduce risk and increase manufacturing yield by 3D printing custom tools, jigs and fixtures with ESD Resin, protecting your critical electronics components from static discharge. ESD Resin is a cost-effective solution for producing static-dissipative parts designed to endure use on the factory floor.

Ideal for:

Tooling & fixturing for electronics manufacturing
Anti-static prototypes and end-use components
Custom trays for component handling and storage

Ceramic Resin

Ceramic Resin

Ceramic 3D Printing, Now on Your Desktop

3D print parts with a stone-like finish and fire them to create a fully ceramic piece with Ceramic Resin, an experimental material that pushes what’s possible with the Form 2. Fabricate ceramic parts for engineering research, or create distinctive art and design pieces.

Ideal for:

Complex geometries
Research and development
True ceramic parts after firing
Art and design

Handling & Safety

Handling & Safety

Resin should be handled with care. Proper handling will ensure safe printing and efficient use. Our resins have been designed to be similar or safer to handle as other household chemicals or adhesives. Formlabs materials do not contain volatile solvents so special ventilation is not required. Skin contact should be avoided.

The Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are up to date for every resin product and follow the latest government guidelines. Always consult the SDS as the primary source of information to understand safety and handling of Formlabs materials. For more information about handling resin, learn more tips for resin maintenance in our Help Center.

Technical Data

Technical Data

Plastics are complex materials, and finding the right one for your specific application requires balancing multiple attributes. Our library of resins is ideal for product development, rapid prototyping, and a variety of specialized applications.
