Using IBT Flex Resin
IBT Flex Resin is a Class I material with enhanced flexibility, strength, translucency, and color, for seamless and precise transfer of orthodontic brackets and restorative composite materials. 3D print flexible and tear-resistant translucent trays and guides that save time and deliver consistent, predictable outcomes. This material is produced in an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility and can be used in applications with long-term skin and short-term mucosal membrane contact.

IBT Flex Resin prints at 50 microns, 100 microns, and 200 microns on the Form 3B/3B+ and at 100 microns on the Form 3BL.

Printing with IBT Flex Resin
Install or update PreForm, then set up the next print job.
To prepare a model for printing in PreForm:
- Open a model.
- Select the resin, resin version, the desired layer thickness, and print settings.
- Orient to preserve fine details. Ensure that the intaglio surface faces away from the build platform.
- If using the 200 micron Fast IBT setting, orient parts flat on the build platform without supports.
- If using the 50 or 100 micron print settings, you may choose to orient parts flat on the build platform without supports or at a maximum angle of 40°.
- Generate supports.
- Send the print job to the printer.
Recommended Minimum Part Thickness: 1 mm
Washing
Follow the part washing recommendations in the manufacturing guide for the clearest and best possible results. Improper washing can lead to suboptimal mechanical and biocompatibility properties.
